We have just arrived home from a very commemorative Anzac Day Dawn Service here at our Beautiful Coolum. Each year the crowd seems to be increasing & supporting this amazing significant day here in our homeland. The participation from very young to the elderly was overwhelming and gave you such an awersome feeling of pride. We are so glad we made the effort in the dark to go.
As we went for a drive up to the lookout afterwards we were reminded of how blessed & immensely fortunate we are to live in such a beautiful & safe country. We must never take that for granted and always remember those who have fallen or fought for this very fact. We should be forever endebted to them all!
It was also a thrill to see the Paster Ian Taylor do the Opening & Closing Prayer Tribute - He married Steve & I here at Coolum in 1978.
We should also remember the unique connection we have with France too commemorative at the Site of the present Australian War Memorial, between the towns of Corbie and Villers–Bretonneux, France, c.1920.
Enjoy this day with your family & friends & take the time to look to heavens; smell the roses; breathe in the fresh air & just be grateful you are living here!
